In a surprising announcement during the 26th anniversary of “Fallout Day,” Prime Video revealed the highly anticipated release date for the Fallout series, based on the award-winning video game franchise. Fallout fans can mark April 12, 2024 on their calendars, when the series makes its debut exclusively on the streaming service. To celebrate this exciting news, Amazon Studios has launched the series’ official social media channels, which cater to fans and audiences around the world.
The Fallout series is set in Los Angeles and the post-apocalyptic world characteristic of the video game franchise and features an original story that will become part of the gaming canon. This exciting project was created by Kilter Films, with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the brilliant creators of Westworld, serving as executive producers. Viewers around the world will be able to stream exclusively on Prime Video, available in over 240 countries and territories.
The cast of the series is a collection of exceptional talent, including Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Frances Turner (The Boys), Dave Register (Heightened), Zach Cherry (Severance), Johnny Pemberton (Ant-Man), Rodrigo Luzzi (Dead Ringers), Annabel O’Hagan (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) and Xelia Mendes-Jones (The Wheel of Time).
The series is led by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, both executive producers, writers, and co-showrunners. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who collaborate through Kilter Films, serve as executive producers, while Kilter Films’ Athena Wickham serves as another executive producer. They are joined by Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. The production is made in association between Amazon, Kilter Films, Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, with Nolan directing the first three episodes.
