Giant photo on Instagram is a mistake that will be fixed, says Meta

by Brad

The Instagram feed has been taken over in recent days by giant photos that take up twice the usual space. Companies, influencers, and users like you and me were left in doubt: would it be a new function of Instagram? No, it’s a bug, as Meta informed us on Thursday afternoon.

The company behind Instagram said it is aware “that some people are seeing photos of a different size than usual.” Meta further stated that it is working to fix the issue as soon as possible.

How to post giant photo on Instagram?
In any case, at the moment it is still possible to publish giant images on the social network. Learn how in the following steps.

Choose a photo with dimensions of 1170 x 2048 or 549 x 1920 pixels. You may need to take a traditional file and cut it to this format. Influencer Gabriel Homero recommends Canva to edit the photo.
-Save preferably in .PNG.
-Go to the Meta Business Suite website preferably on your computer.
Note that there is a sidebar. Choose your Instagram profile and click “Create Post”.
-Check if the profiles you are interested in are selected.
Now you have to be quick: click on “Add photo”, choose the file with giant dimensions and click on the blue “Publish” button –countless times.
Keep in mind that giant photo posting takes advantage of an Instagram mistake. It may or may not work.
If that doesn’t work, try reloading the page and performing the procedure again.
Open Instagram, select the published image, and edit its caption.
